So Let's look at needle types:
Needles can be different: modular needles (needle and tip as one)
Needles can be simple, they can be short for rotor pen machines and can be long, soldered on the bar for tattoo machines
Single - 1 needle, is suitable for all types of works.
• RL - a round liner with 3,4,5,7,8,9,14,18 pins which are soldered in a round bunch, needles are located densely to each other, they can be used for drawing lines
• RS - a round shader with 3,4,5,7,8,9,14,18 where pins are soldered in a round bunch, needles are soldered freely, they could be used for shading of some fragments
• Flat – a flat needle, 4,5,6 pins are soldered as a flat bunch in one row, they could be used for drawing soft shadows and gradients
• M1 – Magnum "Weaved Mag" – needles for filling “from transparent to dense”, pins are soldered loosely as a shader, 5,7,9,11,13 needles are soldered in flat bunches in two ranks by the principle 3+2, 4+3, 5+4, 6+5, 7+6. We should apply them for drawing of shadows, solid fillings, and gradients
• M2 – Magnum "Stacked Mag" – needles for a dense filling, pins are soldered densely as the liner, 5,7,9,11,13 needles are soldered in flat bunches in two ranks by the principle 3+2, 4+3, 5+4, 6+5, 7+6. We can apply them for drawing shadows, solid fillings, and gradients
Super magnum - 20-45 pins are soldered in special very wide bunches, they can be used for filling big areas in tattoos, but they are applied very seldom.
• The textured needles – needles with a rough surface on a needle tip
The sharpening of needles can be round and cut, long and short, narrow and bullet.
For the reduction of injury, we can use acupuncture needles (they are flexible and have bullet sharpening), they should be applied for pen machines. They have different lengths and diameters. 0.3 mm is optimum diameter for work with lips and eyes, the is less diameter, the less pixel they provide, the better gradient you can get but the longer your work will take.
The acupuncture needle has a special handle that should be cut off by flat-nose pliers. The needle can be precision also. They have very fine triangular sharpening.
I recommend having 1rl, 3rl, 3rl-precision, 3rs, 5rl, 7rl, 7rs, 9rs,11m2, 1rl-acupuncture, 8 round softap. That's it. It is enough for all you could ever do in PMU.
Frequently questions:
- What would be the closest needle in the Single ones to the NANO NEEDLE?
It depends on the hair stroke technique or MB. If you have awful Microblading you can do nothing with shading before you remove it by laser.
- Anna, I have two clients with condition of high white blood cells in the blood. Their healing is terrible, have you ever come across this problem?
You should not work with such clients. We make trauma and of course, healing will be very complicated. You should have a rule: we work with healthy clients. If it is not so just ask the doctors' approvement about the possibility of PMU procedure. Or else you can be in trouble.
Remember - Works should look naturally if even they are decorative
The problem of this exact work is not only blues color. It has almost contour because of wrong technique
We should work light and naturally with gradients and shadows
No contours, no thick hairs, no blue color. no wrong shapes
This is what we should have in mind when we start doing PMU
There are 2 variants :
1. To deep ☝🏻 and color become blue
2. Tattoo pigments become colder at the time so don't use cold colors and don't use with intensive methods
Very dark colors in any pigments can give you light violet color because if you try to put them by soft powder effect means transparent you will see basic of color that's why you can get violet, just remember this colors and know that it's possible to use them only for intensive methods
For understand what basic color in pigments just put one drop on a very very very wet cotton disk and you will see
Organic or mineral it's not a secret, companies always told about, many of them have organic line now, be careful with them because it's new and nobody knows what will be at time with this pigments, they are very stable it's good, you can work with warm colors like chocolate is good too, but it's very difficult to remove them by laser, so think twice.
